The Ciming Temple is a Wu Temple (Martial Temple) and is located on the southwest bank of Lotus Pond. This palace style building was constructed in 1898 and is a magnificent Oriental building dedicated to Guan Yu, who was a hero of the Chinese historical Shu Han Era. The golden statue is very impressive. |

Former British Consulate at Takou |

Built in 1865 during the Ching Dynasty, The Former British Consulate is located on a small hilltop overlooking Hsizuhwan Bay. It was the first consulate and Western style house built by the British in Taiwan. The beautiful terrace gives it a very British appearance. Inside features a display of precious historical artifacts. |

| Love River Boat Tour |

The river was also called Kaohsiung Canal. After restoration of Taiwan, the riverbanks were beautified with greenery works and developed to be park areas, decorated with pillars chained with iron rope. The area becomes a romantic place for lovers to date with each other; therefore, the river was reputed as Love River. |
