Time for Presentation: 20 minutes (Q&A included)

Preparation for Presentation

  1. Each meeting room will be equipped with a Notebook installed with Window XP and a LCD projector. It is advised that all speakers use the notebook provided to prevent the problem of connectivity and save the time for installation.
  2. As all notebooks provided are installed with Microsoft Office, all speakers are required to prepare the slides as PowerPoint format (version 2003 or later version).
  3. Use the horizontal profile to fill the screen and make sure all movies/ fonts are supported.
  4. Please prepare your backup copy in a USB or a CD-Rom. Presentation slides and all relevant movies are suggested to be placed in a folder in your USB or CD-Rom.
  5. All speakers are requested to review the presentation files Two Hours prior to the scheduled presentation time. Speaker Preparation Room will be in service during the conference period.
  6. If there is any video or internet webpage link set in the presentation slides, please must have all the materials save in the same computer and check the links in slides.

Before the Presentation

  1. Please arrive at your session meeting room 15 minutes before your session starts to meet the Session Chair and to re-confirm your presentation slides.
  2. Staff will stand by at each meeting to provide any relevant assistance.

Poster
The purpose of the poster sessions is to offer another type of opportunity to present up-to-date researches, new ideas, or best practices. Following the suggested format below, it is more likely that you will be able to meet and discuss your work with attendees who have a direct interest and knowledge in the same area.

Poster Display

Display boards (100cm wide by 200cm high) will be available for your presentation. The paper number will be mounted on the top of the board by the conference staff.  The poster should be measured within horizontally 90cm max., and vertically 180cm max.
 

Prepare your poster including the following sections:

  1. Title of the paper, author names and affiliations centered at the top of the poster
  2. Abstract using the headings “Introduction/ Background”, “Methods”, “Results” and “Conclusions”.
  3. The text of your presentation should be visible from 3 feet away. Therefore, you should use a large font (20 point or larger) for the primary text, and an even larger font for headings.
  4. In order to ensure a high-quality presentation, all poster materials must be in printed form.

Mounting and Removal

All the Poster Presenting Authors must have your poster mounted between Mounting Time and Presentation Time below, using the adhesive tape provided on site. No paste, glue, thumbtacks or staples are permitted. Authors who wish to keep their posters should remove them after the presentation. The organizer shall dispose all posters left after One Hour of the Removal Time.

  1. Poster presentations will be held at the Room A, 9 Fl., Grand Hi-Lai Hotel (Conference Venue) during the above hours. Presenting authors are requested to present their poster at the Presentation Time.
  2. Authors are encouraged to prepare a sufficient amount of a one-page handout to give to interested participants.
