"Proceedings of the 22nd International Conference on Parallel Computational Fluid Dynamics (ParCFD 2010)" |
Dear Participants of ParCFD 2010,
On behalf of the International Advisory Committee of ParCFD, I am pleased to announce that the Special Issue “Proceedings of the 22nd International Conference on Parallel Computational Fluid Dynamics (ParCFD 2010)” has been set up on the on-line submission system (EES) for Computers & Fluids so you can now submit your papers to this issue. If not already registered on the journal’s EES site, you should access the journal’s EES site via the link http://ees.elsevier.com/caf/ and click on the “register” link at the top of the page. Once registered, an e-mail will be sent to the author containing the username and password to access the author main menu. The authors must then click on the “log in” link at the top of the page accessed via http://ees.elsevier.com/caf/, enter the username and password and click on the “Author Login” button to access the author main menu. To begin the submission process, the author should click on the “Submit New Manuscript” link. The first step of the submission process is to choose the article type. The author should choose the article type “Special Issue: ParCFD 2010” from the drop-down menu. The rest of the submission steps are straightforward and there are instructions at each submission step on how to complete the submission step. At the “Request Editor” stage of the submission, the author should choose Professor Jong-Shinn Wu as the handling Editor for this special issue. Submitted paper shall be gone through single-blind peer review process to decide if it is accepted or not. Only those who presented the paper are eligible for submitting a full paper for consideration of publishing in the special issue.
If a paper is submitted in Word format the text should be in single column format and double line spaced (all the text in size 12). About 2.5 pages of text is equivalent to 1 typeset page in Computers & Fluids. As the number of figures and tables will vary per paper, about three tables and three figures will fit on each typeset page. The final typeset number of pages is 4 for a contributed paper (poster), 5 for a contributed paper (oral), 7 for an invited paper and 10 for a plenary paper.
If the paper is submitted in LaTex format and the figures and tables are included in the manuscript file, the pdf file built by the EES system should be no more than 13 pages in size for a contributed paper (poster), 16 pages in size for a contributed paper (oral), 20 pages in size for an invited paper and 28 pages in size for a plenary paper.
Note the important deadlines are listed as follows for your reference:
Paper submission deadline: August 31, 2010.
Acceptance deadline: October 31, 2010.
Manuscript readiness: November 30, 2010.
Publication date: April 30, 2011.
Best Wishes,
