Taiwan's international flights are well developed and there are two international airports, TAIWAN TAOYUAN International Airport and Kaohsiung International Airport. 38 Airlines fly to 77 major cities around the world from Taiwan, and the average flight time from Taiwan to major cities in the Asia-Pacific region is only two-and-a-half hours. A direct flight from the West Coast of the U.S. to Taiwan takes only 12 hours, and flights are frequent. Keelung, Kaohsiung, and Hualien are the main international ports for passenger liners.

  Transportation from Taipei (Taoyuan) International Airpor

  → Take High Speed Rail Shuttle to High Speed Rail (Taoyuan Station)
  → Take High Speed Rail (Taoyuan Station to Zuoying Station)
  → Transfer to Kaohsiung MRT (Red line)
  → Take Kaohsiung MRT (R16 Zuoying Station to R9 Central Park Station) and leave the MRT from Exit 1.
  → Reach to The Grand Hi-Lai Hotel through one of the following:

From Kaohsiung MRT (R9 Central Park Station) to The Grand Hi-Lai Hotel

  1. 10 minutes walking distance:
I. Walk straight down Wufu Rd. toward Zihciang Rd.
II. Turn left on Shintian Rd. and continue walking (around 2 minutes) till you see the Grand Hi-Lai Hotel on the left-hand side.
  2. Shuttle Bus：
I. Take the MRT Shuttle Bus R20 to the Hanshin Department Station (located on the 1st floor of the Grand Hi-Lai Hotel.)
Shuttle Bus Schedule: Weekdays 11:00-22:30, Holidays 10:30-22:30; Bus runs every 10 minutes
  3. City Bus：
I. Take the City Bus No. 100 to the Hanshin Department Station. (located on the 1st floor of the Grand Hi-Lai Hotel.)
  4. Taxi：
I. The Grand Hi-Lai Hotel is just 3 minutes by taxi. The taxi fare is around NT $85.

  Transportation from Kaohsiung International Airport
  → Take Kaohsiung MRT (Red line) (R4 Kaohsiung International Airport to R9 Central Park Station) and leave the MRT from Exit 1.
  → Reach to The Grand Hi-Lai Hotel through one of the following:

From Kaohsiung MRT (R9 Central Park Station) to The Grand Hi-Lai Hotel
